Twitter Introduces Hovercards
Most of the twitter users use Twitter clients for interacting with their followers and to read tweets of the people they follow, but there are still many who use twitter.com interface to read and write tweets. The people at twitter keep working on finding ways to improve user’s experience on the site.
Keeping that in mind Twitter has recently introduced a new feature called ‘Hovercards’ for those who do not use twitter clients to read and write tweets. Hovercards will be a handy way to interact with the users behind each tweet. This feature will work on every twitter.com timeline.
Hovercards are cards which will appear when you hover over a username or avatar, the cards will display additional information about the person and allow to interact with them while staying on the same page.
The most important use of these cards is to find infomation about the retweeted people and to follow them right there; you can also go for the expanded mode to find out more information about the user.
Hovercards can also be used to send direct messages to people you follow without moving off the current page. The feature might not be available on your profile right now, because it will be rolled out in stages, so wait till it becomes available to you.
And do express your views as comments about ‘Hovercards’ after using them.
